Quilt Piecing

Price will depend on the complexity of the design and time required to complete the piecing project. Client can provide fabric and pattern, or I can purchase and be reimbursed. The cost of the quilt will depend on the cost of materials plus the labor required to complete the project.

Longarm Quilting

  • For basic Edge-to-Edge quilting, the price is 2.50 cents per square inch. So for a 60” x 80” quilt the cost would be (60 x 80=4800) x .025 = $120.00.

  • For Custom quilting that combines multiple edge-to-edge, block, border and corner designs, the price is 3.50 cents per square inch. So for a 60” x 80” quilt, the cost would be: (60 x 80=4800) x .035 = $168.00.

  • For Custom Plus quilting that requires detailed custom work, work with rulers or templates, and/or with multiple different quilt patterns placed in different blocks, the price is 5 cents per square inch. So for a 60” x 80” quilt, the cost would be: (60 x 80=4800) x .05 = $240.00.

You may provide your own batting or I can provide at a cost of 30 cents per linear inch. For a quilt that is 80 inches long, the cost would be 80 x .30 = $24.00. I will provide thread of your choice. I have numerous quilting patterns from which you may choose or can purchase a specific design at 1/2 the cost for you.

Quilt backing must be at least 5" wider and longer on each side of the quilt top.

The quilt top and backing must be pressed, squared up, and have no open or loose seams or holes. Loose threads on the back side of the quilt top should be trimmed, especially if darker threads might show through on lighter fabrics.

Any concerns such as extra fullness, unfinished edges, or items that may cause problems during quilting will be discussed with the client.

Additional Services

Quilt binding by machine and customized embroidered labels can be completed for an additional fee, which will depend on the size of the quilt and the detail required for labels.
